A powerful message from the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action during the Fourth World Conference on Women reminds us of the vital role girls play in shaping the future. As we celebrate Girl Child Week this Womenโs Month, we recognize that every girl carries the dreams, hopes, and knowledge passed down from the pastโready to grow and lead the future. It is our responsibility to create spaces where girls and women are valued, heard, and empowered to speak.
Under Presidential Proclamation No. 759 s. 1996, every girl child has the right to protection, respect, and equal opportunities to grow and succeed.
