While girls are often more reported in statistics, many boys also experience abuse but ๐™™๐™ค ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฉ ๐™ง๐™š๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ฉ it due to stigma, fear, or shame. Studies show that boys may be underrepresented in official data, but they are ๐™š๐™ฆ๐™ช๐™–๐™ก๐™ก๐™ฎ ๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™ง๐™ž๐™จ๐™ , especially from perpetrators known to the child, such as family members, relatives, or trusted adults.
