The Children’s Legal Bureau (CLB) celebrates the National Children’s Month with a five-part Para sa Kabataan Webinar Series.
In this episode, titled “Upholding the Rights of the Child: The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child,” the discussion is led by Atty. Euvic M. Ferrer, the Chief of the Legal Division of the Commission on Human Rights – Central Visayas. He discusses the salient provisions of the UNCRC, and how they apply in the Philippine context.
We also hear from a reactor, Johndy Pepito, a Child’s Rights Advocate and he Child Representative of Lapu-lapu City for the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children.
The discussion between Atty. Euvic and Johndy, as well as their interactions with the online audience, is moderated by CLB’s Deputy Executive Director, as well as, Coordinator of the Policy Development and Advocacy Program, Atty. Noemi B. Truya-Abarientos.
